Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hall Red Devils (Spring Valley, IL), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Hall for a Three Rivers East challenge on Thursday, April 11. Mendota will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Putnam County (Granville, IL). The Red Devils record now stands at 1-9.

With the loss, Hall falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Red devils host Putnam County (Granville, IL) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. Putnam County lost 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Woodland (Streator, IL)
