The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the HCYA (Houston, TX) and the host St. John's Mavericks (Houston, TX), saw HCYA's softball squad achieve victory over St. John's by a count of 14-6.

The now sport a 17-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Agnes Academy for a non-league match on Thursday, April 11.

With the loss, St. John's falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Episcopal (Bellaire, TX) to clash with the Knights in a Southwest Prep - South test on Tuesday, April 16. The Knights come into the test with a record of 17-9. Episcopal won 16-3 in their recent non-league test against Cypress Christian (Houston, TX)
