Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), 18-3 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Deep Creek for a Southeastern challenge on Wednesday, April 10. Nansemond River will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Lakeland falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Manor (Portsmouth, VA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Manor won 21-1 in their recent league challenge against Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA)
