With the triumph, Topsail moves its record to 10-3 on the year. The Pirates travel to West Carteret (Morehead City, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 11. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 3-9. West Carteret won 2-1 in their recent league contest against White Oak (Jacksonville, NC)

In their next game, the Buccaneers play the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A contest, on Friday, April 12. Laney will attempt to move on its 10-2 season record. The Screaming Eagle come into the contest with a 1-13 record after their 4-3 league loss to North Brunswick (Leland, NC).
