The Madison County Mountaineers softball team scored 21 runs and limited the host Mountain View Generals to 13 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Madison County improves its record to 2-4 on the year. The Mountaineers host Strasburg (Strasburg, VA) to clash with the Rams in a Bull Run game on Monday, April 15. The Rams come into the game with a record of 7-1. Strasburg won 18-0 in their recent league game against Luray (Luray, VA)

In their next game, the Generals clash with the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, April 10. Mountain View will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Storm come into the game with a 1-4 record after their 20-1 non-league loss to Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA).
