Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host New Trier Trevians (Winnetka, IL), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Evanston for a Central Suburban - South challenge on Thursday, April 11. Maine South will face a Wildkits squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL). The Wildkits record now stands at 1-8.

With the loss, New Trier falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Trevians host Highland Park (Highland Park, IL) to face the Giants in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Giants enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Highland Park lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL)
