Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Waubonsie Valley Warriors (Aurora, IL), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wheaton North for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. Metea Valley will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL). The Falcons record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Waubonsie Valley falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Warriors host Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Glenbard North lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL)
