Rhode Island High School Softball - Narragansett topped by Ponaganset

In Tuesday's league contest, the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI), by a margin of 13-3.

With the triumph, Ponaganset moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Chieftains host Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI) to play the Villa Novans in a Division 2 contest on Wednesday, April 10. The Villa Novans come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Woonsocket won 15-1 in their recent league contest against South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI)

In their next game, the Mariners play the Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) in a Division 2 contest, on Wednesday, April 10. Narragansett will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Huskies come into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 16-0 league loss to Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI).
