West Allegheny Indians (Imperial, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Beaver for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. West Allegheny will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 20-6 non-league loss to Grove City (Grove City, OH). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, New Castle falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Mars (Mars, PA) to battle the Fightin' Planets in a WPIAL 5A 3 challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Fightin' Planets enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Mars won 7-2 in their recent league challenge against South Fayette (McDonald, PA)
