Tylertown Chiefs (Tylertown, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Our Lady Academy Crescents (Bay St. Louis, MS), 17-3 in a league challenge.

The Chiefs now own a 6-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Marion for a 3A Region 8 challenge on Friday, April 12. Tylertown will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS). The Trojans record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Our Lady Academy falls to 0-18 on the campaign. The Crescents travel to Perry Central (New Augusta, MS) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 8 challenge on Friday, April 12. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 8-20. Perry Central lost 13-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Meridian (Meridian, MS)
