The Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA) baseball the visiting Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA), 5-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.
The Colonels now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gretna for a Dogwood challenge on Friday, April 11. Altavista will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 0-4.
The Wildcats (2-4) will now prepare for their outing against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Governors come into the Dogwood outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Nelson County tipped Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA), 2-1, in a league outing.
