The St. John Paul II Lions baseball team scored 15 runs and held the host Nantucket Whalers to 2 in the Lions league win on Wednesday.
The Lions now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Monomoy for a Cape & Islands test on Thursday, April 10. St. John Paul II will clash with a Sharks team coming off a 25-0 league win over Rising Tide (Plymouth, MA). The Sharks record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat, Nantucket drops to 1-3 on the year. The Whalers travel to Sturgis West (Hyannis, MA) to clash with the Navigators in a Cape & Islands test on Friday, April 11. The Navigators go into the test with a record of 0-1. Sturgis West lost 14-6 in their recent non-league test against Atlantis (Fall River, MA)
