In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights baseball team scored a nice 9-0 victory over the Williamstown Yellowjackets.
The Maroon Knights (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Tyler (Sistersville, WV). The Knights enter the non-league game with a 6-4 record. In their last game, Tyler defeated Ritchie County (Ellenboro, WV), 4-1, in a league game.
Next, the Yellowjackets face the South Harrison Hawks (Lost Creek, WV) in a Little Kanawha game, on Thursday, April 10. Williamstown will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Hawks enter the game with a 7-4 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV).
