Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC), 5-2 in a league test.

With the triumph, Asheboro advances its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Blue Comets host Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC) to clash with the Grizzlies in a Mid-Piedmont 3A test on Friday, April 11. The Grizzlies come into the test with a record of 6-6. Oak Grove won 6-0 in their recent league test against Montgomery Central (Troy, NC)

The Panthers now have a 3-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Davidson for a Mid-Piedmont 3A test on Monday, April 14. Ledford will clash with a Black Knights team coming off a 2-1 league win over Central Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 9-3.
