Boquet Valley Griffins (Elizabethtown, NY) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Lake Placid Bombers (Lake Placid, NY), 10-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Boquet Valley upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Griffins travel to Chazy (Chazy, NY) to play the Eagles in a Section 7 Mountain Valley game on Monday, April 14. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 2-0. Chazy won 13-3 in their recent league game against Lake Placid (Lake Placid, NY)

The Bombers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Peru for a non-league game on Thursday, April 10. Lake Placid will play a Nighthawks squad coming off a 25-3 league win over Moriah (Port Henry, NY). The Nighthawks record now stands at 1-2.
