In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Edison Eagles softball team scored a tight 7-4 win over the Hayfield Hawks.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Mount Vernon Majors (Alexandria, VA) in a National match, on Thursday, April 10. Hayfield will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Majors come into the match with a 3-2 record after their 13-4 non-league loss to Osbourn (Manassas, VA).
