The Georgetown Royals softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Hamilton-Wenham Regional Generals to 0 in the Royals non-league win on Wednesday.

The Royals now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lynnfield for a Cape Ann Baker battle on Monday, April 14. Georgetown will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 19-5 non-league loss to Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School (Hathorne, MA). The Pioneers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Hamilton-Wenham Regional moves to 1-1 on the season. The Generals travel to Rockport (Rockport, MA) to confront the Vikings in a non-league battle on Friday, April 11. The Vikings come into the battle with a record of 0-1. Rockport lost 22-1 in their recent league battle against Ipswich (Ipswich, MA)
