North Carolina High School Softball - Harding University held off by North Mecklenburg

The North Mecklenburg Vikings got by the visiting Harding University Rams softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) in a Queen City 3A/4A challenge, on Thursday, April 10. North Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Mavericks go into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 11-8 non-league loss to Cox Mill (Concord, NC).

The Rams (0-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Chambers (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars go into the Queen City 3A/4A challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Chambers held off West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 1-0, in a league challenge.
