The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings edged the visiting Sandburg Eagles softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Wednesday's league challenge.
Next, the Vikings play the Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban challenge, on Friday, April 11. Homewood-Flossmoor will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Thunderbolts enter the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 6-5 league win over Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL).
The Eagles (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lyons (LaGrange, IL). The Lions enter the non-league challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Lyons was nudged by Leyden (Franklin Park, IL), 7-5, in a non-league challenge.
