The Letcher County Central Cougars softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Knott County Central Patriots to 6 in the Cougars league win on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harlan for a non-league battle on Monday, April 14.

With the loss, Knott County Central moves to 3-8 on the season. The Patriots host Jenkins (Jenkins, KY) to confront the Cavaliers in a District 53 battle on Thursday, April 10. The Cavaliers come into the battle with a record of 7-1. Jenkins won 10-0 in their recent non-league battle against Jackson City (Jackson, KY)
