The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) and the visiting New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), observed Opelousas Catholic's softball team prevail over New Iberia by a tally of 14-6.

The Vikings (15-10) will now prepare for their bout against Breaux Bridge (Breaux Bridge, LA). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 13-15 record. In their last bout, Breaux Bridge knocked off Westminster Christian Academy (Opelousas, LA), 11-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) in a 5A District 3 bout, on Friday, April 11. New Iberia will attempt to advance on its 4-16 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 25-24 non-league win over Jeanerette (Jeanerette, LA).
