The Shelby County Wildcats softball team scored 20 runs and held the visiting Talladega Tigers to 5 in the Wildcats non-league win on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now possess a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Briarwood Christian for a 5A Area 8 battle on Thursday, April 10. Shelby County will confront a Lions team coming off a 8-2 league loss to Sylacauga (Sylacauga, AL). The Lions record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Talladega moves to 2-15 on the season. The Tigers travel to Wellborn (Anniston, AL) to confront the Panthers in a non-league battle on Monday, April 14. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 6-16. Wellborn lost 4-0 in their recent non-league battle against Oak Grove (Bessemer, AL)
