The Corning Bobcats baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Rector Cougars to 2 in the Bobcats league win on Thursday.

The Bobcats now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gosnell for a non-league test on Friday, April 10. Corning will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 24-1 league loss to Brookland (Brookland, AR). The Pirates record now stands at 7-13.

With the defeat, Rector drops to 5-7 on the year. The Cougars host Bay (Bay, AR) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a 2A Region 3 test on Monday, April 13. The Yellowjackets go into the test with a record of 3-14. Bay lost 26-14 in their recent non-league test against Westside (Jonesboro, AR)
