The Barnegat Bengals softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls to 2 in the Bengals non-league win on Thursday.

The Bengals now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pinelands Regional for a Shore - B South battle on Friday, April 10. Barnegat will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Southern Regional (Manahawkin, NJ). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Point Pleasant Beach moves to 4-4 on the season. The Garnet gulls travel to Toms River East (Toms River, NJ) to confront the Raiders in a non-league battle on Monday, April 13. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 4-2. Toms River East won 7-1 in their recent non-league battle against New Egypt (New Egypt, NJ)
