Illinois High School Softball - Fairfield topped by Edwards County

April 9, 2026: Albion, IL 62806

Edwards County Lions (Albion, IL) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL), 10-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Edwards County improves its record to 7-4 on the year. The Lions travel to Richland County (Olney, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Friday, April 10. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 7-2. Richland County won 5-3 in their recent non-league game against Arthur-Okaw Christian (Arthur, IL)

The Mules now hold a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Hamilton County for a Black Diamond East game on Tuesday, April 14.
