Virginia High School Softball - Monacan bounces L.C. Bird

April 9, 2026: Richmond, VA 23236

In Thursday's league match, the host Monacan Chiefs softball team scored a nice 16-5 victory over the L.C. Bird Skyhawks.

The Chiefs (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA). The Hawks go into the non-league match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Hanover was routed by King George (King George, VA), 11-5, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Skyhawks clash with the Prince George Royals (Prince George, VA) in a non-league test, on Monday, April 13. L.C. Bird will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Royals go into the test with a 6-2 record after their 13-3 league win over Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights, VA).
