Pennsylvania High School Softball - Pittston knocked off by Tunkhannock

April 9, 2026: Pittston, PA 18640

The Tunkhannock Tigers overwhelmed the host Pittston Patriots softball squad by a count of 14-5 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Parkland Trojans (Allentown, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 11. Tunkhannock will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 13-3 league loss to East Stroudsburg South (East Stroudsburg, PA).

The Patriots (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Holy Redeemer (Wilkes-Barre, PA). The Royals go into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Holy Redeemer toppled Hanover Area (Hanover Township, PA), 18-5, in a non-league challenge.
