West Virginia High School Softball - South Harrison drops to Ritchie County

April 9, 2026: Lost Creek, WV 26385

Ritchie County Rebels (Ellenboro, WV) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad topple the host South Harrison Hawks (Lost Creek, WV), 15-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Ritchie County improves its record to 7-4 on the year. The Rebels travel to Nicholas County (Summersville, WV) to face the Grizzlies in a non-league game on Saturday, April 11. The Grizzlies enter the game with a record of 4-6. Nicholas County won 2-1 in their recent non-league game against Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV)

The Hawks now hold a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Braxton County for a Little Kanawha game on Friday, April 10. South Harrison will face a Eagles squad coming off a 17-0 non-league loss to Buffalo (Buffalo, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 1-8.
