With the win, Sam Houston upgrades its record to 27-7 on the season. The Broncos travel to West Monroe (West Monroe, LA) to battle the Rebels in a non-league test on Friday, May 6. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 30-4. West Monroe won 8-1 in their recent non-league test against Comeaux (Lafayette, LA)

With the defeat, Ruston falls to 28-13 on the season.
