In Monday's non-league game, the host Pittsfield Saukees baseball team scored a tight 8-2 victory over the Beardstown Tigers.
The Saukees (17-3) will now prepare for their game against Seymour (Payson, IL). The Indians go into the West Central - South game with a 5-13 record. In their last game, Seymour was overwhelmed by Calhoun (Hardin, IL), 11-9, in a non-league game.
The Tigers (9-9) will now prepare for their game against Astoria/VIT (Astoria, IL). The Rebels go into the non-league game with a 0-16 record. In their last game, Astoria/VIT was overwhelmed by Bushnell-Prairie City (Bushnell, IL), 14-0, in a league game.
