The Cranston East Thunderbolts volleyball team (Cranston, RI), was dropped 3-1 in Monday's non-league challenge with the host Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties (Woonsocket, RI)

The Mounties (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Avengers enter the Division 1 (State) challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, East Greenwich was dropped by La Salle Academy (Providence, RI), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Thunderbolts meet the Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) in a Division 1 (State) challenge, on Wednesday, May 3. Cranston East will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 3-2 league win over Classical (Providence, RI).
