The Union Academy Cardinals soccer team scored 9 points and limited the visiting Mount Pleasant Tigers to 0 in the Cardinals league victory on Monday.
Next, the Cardinals face the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A contest, on Wednesday, May 3. Union Academy will attempt to better on its 15-3 season record. The Comets enter the contest with a 3-16 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC).
The Tigers now have a 6-10 record. They take the field next when they host Robinson for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A contest on Wednesday, May 3. Mount Pleasant will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 9-0 league win over Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-7.
