Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Turner Ashby Knights (Bridgewater, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians face the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 5. Fort Defiance will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Gladiators enter the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA).

The Knights now have a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Broadway for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Turner Ashby will face a Gobblers team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA). The Gobblers record now stands at 0-13.
