Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad achieve victory over the host Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI), 8-4 in a league test.

The Clippers now have a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Chariho for a Division 2 test on Thursday, May 4. Cumberland will face a Chargers squad coming off a 7-4 league win over Prout (Wakefield, RI). The Chargers record now stands at 4-5.

In their next game, the Oakers face the Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI) in a Division 2 test, on Thursday, May 4. Coventry will attempt to move on its 0-9 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 6-3 record after their 15-7 league loss to Middletown (Middletown, RI).
