Seymour Wildcats (Seymour, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilby for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 3.
With the loss, Ansonia falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Chargers host Oxford (Oxford, CT) to battle the Wolverines in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Wednesday, May 3. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 9-3.
