Douglas Eagles (Douglas, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Boaz Pirates (Boaz, AL), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 21-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southside for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Douglas will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Boaz (Boaz, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 24-15.

With the loss, Boaz falls to 32-8 on the campaign.
