Broadalbin-Perth Patriots (Broadalbin, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Gloversville Huskies/Dragons (Gloversville, NY), 16-5 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Scotia-Glenville for a Section 2 Foothills challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Broadalbin-Perth will face a Tartans squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Queensbury (Queensbury, NY). The Tartans record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Gloversville falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Huskies/dragons host Saratoga Central Catholic (Saratoga Springs, NY) to face the Saints in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Saints enter the challenge with a record of 4-5.
