The Cougars now sport a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Sweet Home for a 4A Oregon West match on Wednesday, May 3. Cascade will face a Huskies squad coming off a 19-2 league win over Philomath (Philomath, OR). The Huskies record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Newport moves to 5-7 on the season. The Cubs host Stayton (Stayton, OR) to face the Eagles in a 4A Oregon West match on Wednesday, May 3. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 13-3.
