In Monday's league outing, the host Central Red Devils softball squad scored a good 14-0 win over the Opelika Bulldogs.
The Red Devils now sport a 35-5 record. They take the field next when they host Auburn for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 2. Central will face a Tigers squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Brewbaker Tech (Montgomery, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 26-8.
With the loss, Opelika falls to 9-15 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Smiths Station (Smiths, AL) to face the Panthers in a 7A Area 4 match on Tuesday, May 2. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 11-18. Smiths Station lost 11-1 in their recent non-league match against Brewbaker Tech (Montgomery, AL)
