Lowell Red Raiders (Lowell, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dracut Middies (Dracut, MA), 14-13 in a league challenge.

The Red Raiders now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Woburn Memorial for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Lowell will face a Tanners squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Winchester (Winchester, MA). The Tanners record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Dracut falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Middies host Tewksbury Memorial (Tewksbury, MA) to face the Redmen in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 3. The Redmen enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Tewksbury Memorial lost 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Tyngsborough (Tyngsborough, MA)
