With the triumph, Vance County moves its record to 8-8 on the year. The Vipers travel to Carrboro (Carrboro, NC) to play the Jaguars in a Northern Lakes Athletic 2A/3A contest on Tuesday, May 2. The Jaguars come into the contest with a record of 13-6. Carrboro won 11-7 in their recent non-league contest against East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC)

In their next game, the Panthers play the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs (Durham, NC) in a Northern Lakes Athletic 2A/3A contest, on Tuesday, May 2. Granville Central will attempt to move on its 1-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 1-15 record after their 29-13 league loss to Carrboro (Carrboro, NC).
