Lincoln Park Railsplitters (Lincoln Park, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Taylor Griffins (Taylor, MI), 16-10 in a league challenge.

The Railsplitters now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edsel Ford for a Downriver challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Lincoln Park will battle a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Trenton (Trenton, MI). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Taylor falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Allen Park (Allen Park, MI) to battle the Jaguars in a Downriver challenge on Wednesday, May 3. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 15-3. Allen Park won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Roosevelt (Wyandotte, MI)
