Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM), 13-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mora for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Pecos will battle a Rangers/Rangerettes squad coming off a 17-2 league win over McCurdy (Espanola, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes record now stands at 10-10.

With the loss, McCurdy falls to 3-17 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Estancia (Estancia, NM) to battle the Bears in a A/2A District 2/5 challenge on Wednesday, May 3. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 18-5. Estancia won 15-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM)
