The Oregon Hawks got by the visiting Stillman Valley Cardinals softball squad by a final score of 5-4 in Monday's league battle.

The Hawks (14-7) will now prepare for their battle against Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL). The Cogs go into the Big Northern battle with a 9-12 record. In their last battle, Genoa-Kingston nudged Dixon (Dixon, IL), 11-3, in a league battle.

The Cardinals now possess a 6-10 record. They play next when they host Lutheran for a Big Northern battle on Tuesday, May 2. Stillman Valley will meet a Crusaders squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-15.
