Rhode Island High School Softball - Ponaganset can't hold off South Kingstown

May 1, 2023: Wakefield, RI 02879

The South Kingstown Rebels softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains to 3 in the Rebels league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, South Kingstown improves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Rebels travel to Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI) to clash with the Huskies in a Division 2 game on Wednesday, May 3. The Huskies come into the game with a record of 6-2. Mt. Hope won 3-0 in their recent league game against Westerly (Westerly, RI)

In their next game, the Chieftains clash with the Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI) in a Division 2 game, on Wednesday, May 3. Ponaganset will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Mariners come into the game with a 4-4 record after their 7-1 league loss to West Warwick (West Warwick, RI).

The South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI) varsity softball team won Monday's home conference game against Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI) by a score of 4-3.
