Virginia High School Softball - St. Catherine's gets by Saint Gertrude

The St. Catherine's Saints got by the visiting Saint Gertrude Gators softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Monday's league battle.
The Saints (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against St. Margaret's (Tappahannock, VA). The Scotties go into the League of Independent Schools battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, St. Margaret's Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA), 0-0, in a non-league battle.
The Gators now sport a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Collegiate for a League of Independent Schools battle on Tuesday, May 2. Saint Gertrude will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 19-10 non-league loss to Saint John Paul the Great Catholic (Dumfries, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 5-11.
