The Amity Regional Spartans baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Wilbur Cross Governors to 1 in the Spartans non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Spartans (12-2) will now prepare for their match against Fairfield Prep (Fairfield, CT). The Jesuits go into the non-league match with a 3-7 record. In their last match, Fairfield Prep ran past Pope Francis Prep (Springfield, MA), 9-7, in a non-league match.

The Governors (1-10) will now prepare for their match against Branford (Branford, CT). The Hornets go into the Southern Connecticut - Housatonic match with a 2-10 record. In their last match, Branford was overwhelmed by Fairfield Prep (Fairfield, CT), 13-0, in a league match.
