Jeff Davis Yellowjackets (Hazlehurst, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA), 2-1 in a non-league game.
The Yellowjackets (23-7) will now prepare for their game against North Cobb Christian (Kennesaw, GA). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 30-4 record. In their last game, North Cobb Christian tipped Callaway (Hogansville, GA), 12-2, in a non-league game.
