The Cardinals (14-8) will now prepare for their match against Taylorville (Taylorville, IL). The Tornadoes go into the non-league match with a 10-12 record. In their last match, Taylorville edged Williamsville (Williamsville, IL), 8-7, in a non-league outing.

Next, the Hawks face the Shelbyville Rams (Shelbyville, IL) in a Central Illinois outing, on Thursday, May 2. Meridian will attempt to advance on its 1-14 season record. The Rams enter the outing with a 13-8 record after their 4-3 league win over Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL).
