The Stearns Minutemen baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Penobscot Valley Howlers to 2 in the Minutemen league victory on Wednesday.
The Minutemen (5-0) will now prepare for their match against Piscataquis (Guilford, ME). The Pirates go into the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Piscataquis gained a win over Searsport (Searsport, ME), 6-2, in a non-league match.
The Howlers (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Lee Academy (Lee, ME). The Pandas go into the Class D North match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Lee Academy gained a win over Woodland (Baileyville, ME), 3-2, in a league match.
